Description of work: The Nutritionist III – WIC Supervisor is responsible for ensuring program quality and participating in the work of Health Department nutrition programs; the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC), Diabetes Self-Management Program, and medical nutrition therapy services. The WIC Nutritionist III Supervisor complies with and executes all policies and procedures of the WIC Program, working with people internal and external to the agency and unit with courtesy, tact, and sensitivity; responsible for managing the local WIC Program and providing clinical nutrition services.
Education and Experience: Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education with a Master’s degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or Nutrition from an accredited college or university and one year experience; or Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education and two years nutrition experience.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation: Candidates should provide documentation of registration status from the Commission on Dietetic Registration and university or college transcripts. Additionally, completion of the North Carolina Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Training (training provided).
Unencumbered NC driver’s license.
