Primary Responsibilities: Provide a memorable experience to each and every guest by providing friendly service that exceeds guest expectations.
Required characteristics of a server:
• Must display the highest degree of integrity and professionalism at all times
• Cool under pressure
• Detail oriented
• Fully knowledgeable of menu items including ingredients and procedures
• Conversant and outgoing, great personality
• Ability to multi-task
Specific Functions and Duties:
• Interact with all guests creating a memorable experience
• Follow all service steps
• Relay order to the kitchen and bar using the ALOHA system
• Suggestive sell and up-sell all food and alcoholic beverages
• Use the teamwork philosophy
• Delivers all food and alcohol items to guests in a friendly and timely manner
• Presents check to each guest and accepts payment
• Completes side work and weekly cleaning duties
• Complies with table maintenance standards
• Comply with state and local alcohol law and minimum age requirements
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation standards set forth by the company
• Relay all customer comments to a manager
• Assist management in all areas of the restaurant as directed
Qualification Standards:
• Reading, writing, basic math and verbal communication skills required
• High overall awareness and sense of urgency
• Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for periods up to four hours in length
• Must have good sense of balance and be able to bend and kneel
• Must have the ability to lift objects frequently weighing up to 25 pounds
