General Statement of Duties
Performs skilled marketing, message management, event organizing and group facilitation to support Community Development mission.
Distinguishing Features of the Class
An employee in this class performs creative, organizational and clerical duties that support the community development department. These include, but are not limited to: creating social media and website content to connect with local residents and potential out-of-town visitors; maintaining and monitoring Town of Mocksville social media accounts; researching and procuring available grant monies for use in the Historic Downtown Mocksville District; creating and making presentations to Boards and community groups; serving as a liaison to help support, promote and grow downtown businesses; designing, promoting and organizing public events; performing other support duties as directed by the Downtown Marketing and Communication Coordinator.
Education and Experience
Associates Degree in Business, Marketing or Social Media with 2 years experience managing social media at an organizational level and interaction with the public or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
