General Statement of Duties
Performs routine and specialized administrative / technical support duties as dictated by the work unit or supervisor.
Distinguishing Features of the Class
Under regular supervision the employee in this class prepares bills, enters data, retrieves and processes payments and performs a variety of administrative support functions. Emphasis of the work is on providing assistance to the public in the establishing, scheduling and maintaining of services, handling complaints and misunderstandings and resolving issues. Decisions are made regarding how assigned work is completed and what tasks and assignments take priority. The employee must apply policy and procedural knowledge and judgement in a variety of situations when making decisions that affect the quality and accuracy of work performed.
Education and Experience
Completion of an Associate Degree in Business Administration, or a related field and one year of
administrative and office work, or high school graduation plus three years of administrative support work experience in an office setting, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Special Requirement
Commission or ability to obtain Commission as a Notary Public
Valid North Carolina Driver’s License
